From a childhood bedroom to a professional dream…

Transforming a passion into a profession, in essence, that’s the most fundamental story about us. Before becoming official, it all started as a hobby in a childhood bedroom. Early on, we began volunteering our services to friends and a sports club.

  The Beginning

  Our creative studio officially launched on November 1, 2012! What began in a home office as a design workshop marked the start of a passion-driven career. Initially known as “smart media&design,” we quickly expanded our client base, revealing the need for a professional address and office outside our private space to welcome the world’s best clients.

  2015 The first ‘real’ office

  A “cozy” office with excellent connectivity was quickly found. From August 1, 2015, we welcomed our clients at Hasporter Damm . Within 30 m², our creativity flourished, further growing our clientele.
• March 1, 2017
  

  The next spatial step

  We soon realized the limitations of our Hasporter Damm location. By the end of 2016, we embarked on a search for a new space, which, after much dedication, led us to Lange Straße 54 – a distinctive half-timbered house that stood out with its unique charm, inside and out . Exactly what we were searching for. The grand opening of our new office was on March 1, 2017, offering 100 m² of pure creativity and space for our ideas to fully unfold.

  Make it unique

  It wasn’t just the location that posed a challenge. We were also keen to move away from the name smart media&design. It was too common, too lengthy, and lacked distinction. With the move on March 1, 2017, came a new name after months of pondering and designing. ARTKURAT^® was born, a name combining “Art” and “Accurate” to ideally describe our work.

  Protected and registered

  ARTKURAT^® became a trademark! A unique name worth protecting . By the end of 2019, we submitted our documents to the German Patent and Trademark Office and applied for registration as a word and figurative mark. On February 7, 2020, we received our certificate of registration, a historic day in two respects as it’s also the founder’s birthday. We also took this opportunity to refine our logo and develop a new emblem, independent of the letters “A” & “K.

  Move 2.0

  100 m² soon became too small. Thus, in mid-November 2020, we made our last planned move to our own office building with optimal connections to B75, A28, & A1. The team expanded in line with our growth. Meet our current team above .
